Julian's dodgy land acquisition - first attempt to bribe the occupier and the judge, then petition parliament to overturn the decision of the Court
This is Julian Batchelor's account of how the whenua he currently occupies at Rawhiti was acquired. This account is biased and prejudiced, and inaccurate and misleading. It can be seen that the acquisition involved attempts to bribe an upstanding Judge, the advantage of superior legal resources to achieve a desirable outcome regardless of right, and the last resort, the use of a petition to the parliament (signed by one person) to overturn the Court decision in order to achieve a blatantly unjust advantage and repugnant to the laws of natural justice for indigenous owners.
